Evolution Fun
After a break of one year, The Sabbath Day Church of God in Hot Springs, Arkansas will again be hosting a Feast of Tabernacles in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains on October 14, 2008 through October 21, 2008.  The fall colors on the leaves should be just at their high point at this time, so it will be a beautiful setting for God’s Feast!  Services for the Feast of Tabernacles 2008 will be held in the Sabbath Day Church of God building located at 2998 Park Avenue (Hwy. 7).  Our pastor, Fred Porter, his wife, Jean and the congregation would like everyone to consider this site for YOUR Feast of Tabernacles 2008.

The Feast, this year, will be geared for the “young and the young-at-heart”!!!

This, of course, means we will try to have activities, education and enlightenment for everyone, no matter the age, to make your Feast the very best.

Hot Springs has an abundance of hotels and motels and Hot Springs Village has many townhouses and condos for rent.  As soon as we can prepare them, we will be providing packets of information about lodging, activities, places of interest, etc. that you may request from us.  You may contact Robert or Barbara Marlowe to reserve your packet.  Just contact them at 501-915-0538, rhmarlowe@earthlink.net and they will send them as soon as possible.

What do we have to offer for places to see and things to do?  Hot Springs, being the 1st National Park, has a multitude of things to do and places to see.  To mention a few, the world famous Bathhouse Row, the Mountain Tower (what a view!) and the Belle of Hot Springs Riverboat for a leisurely ride on Lake Hamilton and/or a meal.  More entertainment will be included in the Feast packet we are preparing.  Restaurants are plentiful and offering all types of food that you may desire.

Check out the Feast schedule of events, which you will see is not complete, but will give you an idea of what we have to offer.  If you have a talent that could be used for the Feast, please contact Fred Porter.  Speakers are needed especially, so if you are a speaker and are coming to Hot Springs, please call  Fred Porter at 501-282-1909 and let him know.  This schedule will be up-dated as we get nearer to the Feast, so check out our website often (www.sdcog.org).
